Dear all,

One week after the outstanding success of LUSH - Bangkok’s Green Night Out, we can officially declare that we raised 82,580 THB. Our total costs for the event amounted to 30,700 THB, and thus we distributed all profits as follows:

12,500 THB (380 USD) for the offsetting of carbon emissions generated by the event. The carbon offsets have been purchased from the following sources:
- An improved cooking stove project in Cambodia, reducing the amount of wood and charcoal burned and reducing living expenses for local communities; and
- A windpower project in rural China.

19,700 THB for Baan Dada

19,680 THB for Baan Unrak

(That’s about 600 USD for both orphanages!)

Cody and I, along with a few volunteers went all the way up to Sangklaburi to hand over the money and banners signed by the guests during the event. Check out the thank you video from the orphanage (http://su.pr/2V2Axr).

LUSH was part of global Twestival celebrations held in 200 cities around the world. All of the events were completely volunteer run and organized. Thank you for supporting this initiative from Bangkok and locales all over the world. We would like to thank very much all the volunteers who helped us (see the complete list: http://bit.ly/3nUDqK).

***Special thanks also go to Charly T, who had an amazing performance. For booking details and information about his music and background, please visit his website at http://www.charlytemplar.com/

Don’t forget to see pictures from both the party and the orphanages in the In Search of Sanuk group (http://su.pr/59WL4I).

Lastly, we would like to thank Fraser Suites for having provided us with the location, staff and welcome drinks entirely free of charge.

Thank you very much to all of you for your support.

See you next time!
